Twelve months is a long time in gaming and by the time we all gather back here again in a year’s time for G2E Asia 2020 a lot will have changed.
For starters, the last of Cotai’s big new integrated resorts, SJM’s Grand Lisboa Palace, will have finally opened its doors around six years after breaking ground, with its “little brother” Lisboeta not far behind.
In the Philippines, Okada Manila will have opened all of its hotel rooms while Travellers Hotel Group’s Westside City Resorts World will be well and truly taking shape and close to opening.
In Vietnam, Suncity’s Hoiana will be up and running, as will its new Sihanoukville property, owned by Golden Sun Sky Entertainment Co., Ltd. And of course, NagaCorp will have begun construction on Naga3 and be edging close to opening its new Russian IR near Vladivostok.
We’ll even have some more clarity around Japan, with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport & Tourism to announce the basic policy package in 1Q20.
As always, there is never a dull moment.
