Galaxy Entertainment Group Deputy Chairman Francis Lui will be the star speaker at G2E Asia today as he delivers the keynote address to launch the 2017 G2E Asia Conference. Mr Lui will deliver his address at 9.30am where he is expected to address a range of issues impacting the Asian gaming industry today. His address will be followed by the official opening ceremony and VIP tour.
Galaxy, which has around 22% market share in Macau, saw its gross gaming revenue rise by 5% year-on-year over the first three months of 2017 to HK$14.1 billion on the back of an increased focus on mass market opportunities.
In March, Galaxy and Monte-Carlo’s SBM announced the formal establishment of a strategic partnership aiming to enhance their respective brands on a global scale while working together on the development of new Integrated Resorts, most notably with an eye on Japan.
The Macau operator also signed an agreement last week with Japanese architectural firm Tange Associates, which is known for creating contemporary, memorable designs both in Japan and around the world.
