Inside Asian Gaming will host a special session at today’s G2E Asia Conference titled “Asian Markets Forum”, exploring Asia’s key and emerging markets outside of Macau.
With the Macau gaming scene well-established, eyes are now turning to other jurisdictions in the region. Some of these, such as Vietnam, Cambodia, Korea and the Philippines, have long established gaming industries but are going through major and systemic change.
Others like Nepal, Russia and Japan are new, under serviced or even completely untapped.
The Asian Markets Forum will be split into two 45 minute panels — Asia North and Asia South – with the two highly experienced panels to discuss a wide range of issues from IR project development and design through to construction, marketing, labour supply and other unique considerations of each market. Both panel sessions will include dynamic presentations, moderated Q&A discussion and extensive opportunities for audience interaction and questions.
Some of the issues to be considered include what unique opportunities and challenges each market brings, the political and social implications of new IR development and key factors for consideration such as taxation, regulation, technology and demographics.
Part 1: Asia North – Japan, Korea and Russia kicks off at 1.30pm in the G2E Conference Room with Part 2: Asia South – Cambodia, Nepal, Philippines and Vietnam kicking off at 2.30pm.
Both panels will be moderated by Inside Asian Gaming CEO Andrew W Scott.
“It’s a privilege for IAG to be working with G2E Asia to present the Asian Markets Forum this year,” said Scott.
“Asia is such a diverse and fascinating place with so much going on for the region’s gaming industry right now and unique opportunities constantly emerging for new entrants. The Asian Markets Forum will provide valuable insights for those companies interested in operating in the region.”
