Lex Mundi making moves

16 May 2018

Twelve months ago, Inside Asian Gaming published and helped launch the inaugural Lex Mundi Global Gaming Law Guide at G2E Asia.

The brainchild of Macau law firm MdME, Lex Mundi is a collaboration of law firms from over 100 countries with expertize in the gaming industry, allowing member firms to offer clients an integrated solution to their legal and regulatory needs across multiple jurisdictions.

The Lex Mundi Global Gaming Law Guide was produced in order to provide a better understanding of the laws governing gaming in key jurisdictions and included contributions from 21 member firms representing 26 jurisdictions across five regions – North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia Pacific and Africa.

Since then, Lex Mundi has come along in leaps and bounds with the group taking part in a number of events and initiatives.

Among them is the Lex Mundi Global Gaming Law Online Interactive Guide, which has attracted 582 views since its launch.

Lex Mundi has also arranged speaking events for regulators from Macau and Singapore by its respective member law firms, hosted a networking drinks session during the 2017 International Masters of Gaming Law Autumn conference organized by member firm Rajah & Tann Singapore LLP, and hosted a networking drinks session during G2E in Las Vegas in 2017 via member firm for Arizona, Snell & Wilmer.

MdME and Japan’s Nishimura & Asahi will also speak at the 2018 G2E Regulator’s Luncheon and earlier this week took part in a panel discussion on The Ethics of Suitability at the 2018 IAGA Gaming Summit.
